Default Modern Warfare 2

So I got on last night just planning on playing a few rounds to check it out and get a feel for it, then I was going to jump over to Dragon Age. I ended up playing Modern Warfare 2 the whole evening. There are several changes, all that I have liked so far. Let me note, I have not played the single player yet, and not sure when I will get around to it. I do plan on it some time though. Anywho, I love the huge amount of unlockables! Even unlockables have unlockables! There are so many perks and weapon attachments that allows for a lot of diversity, as well as titles and emblems. There are literally hundreds of things to unlock. I also like minor things, like making grenade launchers more realistic, no more shooting them from across the map. I also like (which most won't) that when you play team games with friends, you are forced out of party mode. I know it's annoying to hear all the people, but you can mute, and it takes away the ability for dead teammates to reveal information. Nothing has really stood out map wise yet, but I am still learning it. Anyone else have thoughts?

Spec Ops is ridiculously fun. Multiplayer plays a lot like World at War as far as there are a lot of buildings to hid in and windows you have to watch. I've only played on one map that was flat, and that is a remake map from Cod 1 and 2. It is much more difficult to tube across the maps, but it won't be long for people to figure that out again. As Paul said, there are a ton of unlocks. Each gun has it's own list of equipment you have to unlock, like you have to use the Red Dot Sight on the M4A1 and get 50 kills to unlock the Holographic Sight. Even the Perks have challenges and each can be upgraded to a pro level. Example, The Ninja perk makes you invisible to heartbeat sensors and getting the Pro version gives you Dead Silence also. Only played the first level in single player. UAV's are not really all that important anymore since you can get Counter-UAV's or you can just shoot them down with lock-on missiles. There are many different options for Secondary weapons also. There are the typical Hand-guns, but also Machine pistols, shotguns and launchers are all secondary weapons. Sniping is kinda reversed on this one. They give you the big snipers that have a ton of recoil at the start and you have to unlock the others. Anyway, love it so far.

Shoooooooot, give me some tips fellas, I can get headshots but that's about it, I'm 4-30ish or something in wins. I get most headshots in 99% of all the FFA games I play (favorite gametype now, level 20ish), but hardly place in top 3. I use either the FAMAS rifle (battlerifle type burst one) or the one above that.

Man I get mad fast when I watch killcams; the caliber of people who kill me.

But still! Help me transition from the halo mindset to the MW2 one, I would like to be one of those guys who has 10+ more kills than deaths, I usually go about even (unless it's that pos estate map, 1-27 in two games). Overall I'm <1 in K/D ratio though.

Tips from the pros! Tips tips tips!!

Daniel is the resident MW2 expert, but a heads up, we almost always play Hardcore. The best advice I was given when starting out, was to stick with the first assault rifle(M14, I think), for a while. Also, learn a strategy you like for a every level and.... watch for grenade launchers at the beginning of every maatch!

When I play/played CoD this was essential for me. The map designs are far to chaotic and...unpredictable. Traffic flow is rarely consistant so that's not something you can count on. It also helps to either look up online or play with people who know the "spots". These are places you would either never think to look or are just out of sight enough to give you the time to get the kill. This was also key.

I was blessed and had a good friend buy this game for me after Christmas. It's taken me some time because I had stopped playing everything for a while but I'm starting to get the hang of gaming again. but now, the new care package glitches (faster running and unlimited packages) are starting to ruin this game for me. anyone know when they are planning to do a patch? Any rumors?

I haven't been in a game with this yet. The only glitched game I've ever been in is one where we ran like 100 mph. The only way to get a kill would either be either a LMG or stabbing. It was fun.

You may have and just didn't realize it. If the other team is constantly getting care packages and air support, then chances are they are doing the glitch.

I think it's funny when they are doing the Care package glitch and still lose.
